After a year of modified classes due to COVID and distance education students are in need of positive ways to reengage with their peers. With time away in isolation from others students have forgotten what it's like to work with others. Games provide a fun way for students to develop mathematical thinking with one another. These games will help student engage in meaningful mathematical discourse while building social emotional skills of problem solving and collaboration. The games included in their project will support students throughout their high school mathematic courses including Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Probability/Statistics. Some of the specific standards addressed include: A-SSE, A-REI, and S-CP.
