Upon starting the 2021-2022 school year, I bought 3 rolls of whiteboard tape and covered my small group, kidney-shaped table with it. I expected it to be useful when pulling small groups during math lessons, but I never could have anticipated how excited my students are to work at this table every day! Getting to write on the table itself encourages my students to solve difficult math problems, write notes to themselves as we read together, draw diagrams, and work together. In short, it really brings every single one of my lessons to life! My students are excited to learn at this table because of this feature. However, we are only halfway through the school year and, already, the tape is falling apart. It is stained; chunks have peeled off, and it is no longer as effective as it was when it was fresh and new. While my students are still eager for a seat at our table, the peeling whiteboard tape makes using it harder and harder with every passing day. Therefore, I would love to have a dry-erase table in my classroom. It would keep my students excited about learning, engaged during lessons, and eager to work together, all of which are so important to me and the culture of my classroom. I will be able to pull interactive small groups at this table and keep students actively interested in what they are learning. They will be so excited to have this in their classroom!
