My students would love to learn through STEAM lessons by making slime, using physics, hands-on chemistry/physics lessons, experimenting through bubble-ology, building terrariums, and other scientific learning will follow the NVACS (3-PS2-1, 3-PS2-3 and 3-PS2-4 to make observations and and object's motion to provide evidence that a pattern can be used to predict future motion, plan and conduct and investigation to provide evidence of the effects of balanced and unbalanced forces on the motion of an object). Learning through engineering processes will allow every child to meet 21st Century goals while succeed and obtaining equity for the childhood educational landscape. The donations for these science projects and STEAM kits will improve my students understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful third grade Next Generation Science Standards of: Engineering, Technology, and Applications in Science. With these, they will define a a simple problem, generate and compare multiple possible solutions to a problem, and plan and carry out fair tests in which variables are controlled and failure points are considered to identify aspects of a model or prototype that can be improved (3-5ETS1-1, 3-5-ETS1-2, and 3-5ETS1-3). Our class will have hands on lessons and memorable experiences to stimulate a life-long love of science, mathematics, and technology.
