  • Snowstorm Relief: Empowering Students for a Brighter Tomorrow

    Funded Feb 11, 2024

“Thank you so much” to the donors of the “Empowering students for a brighter tomorrow” donors choose project. The students at Lanier High School and I greatly appreciate the love and gratitude that was shown through this project of various books to read after school, daily snacks, book shelves, colored paper, and an electric stapler.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Tracy Ross

  • Counseling Session Supplies

    Funded Oct 6, 2021

As an Advanced Placement (AP) Test Coordinator and Professional School Counselor, our students used the pencils to take their exams, e.g. AP, ACT, PSAT exams. Also, I distribute pencils to students who are in need of a writing utensil for class, especially their math and/or science classes.

Our scholars really appreciated the kind gesture with having pencils, colored paper, markers, and ink pens to complete their exams, assignments, and homework. Also, our scholars were able to use the colored paper to complete Science/Reading Fair projects.

Our scholars will continue using the supplies to complete assignments and projects that is required for them to master a particular skill. When a student is in need of anything as it relates to school supplies, they know where my office is located. I am here to make a difference in the lives of all of our students.

Again, thank you to all the contributors who assisted in making this project a success.”

    With gratitude,

    Dr. Tracy Ross

During counseling sessions students meet with me to go over graduation and testing requirements. I also help develop post-secondary educational plans whether it be to go to college or straight to the workforce. I have some of the most hard-working, eager students who want the best for themselves. As I guide my students in choosing the best options post-graduation, I am grateful that I have the opportunity to make a difference in their lives. My students deserve to have the materials they need during counseling sessions. During counseling sessions my students have to fill out paperwork, register for classes and fill out any other paper work pertaining to them. I also give them copies of everything we complete so that they can have a sense of accountability and it helps them keep and stay on track. Often when my students show up to the sessions they don't have pens or pencils. I want to make sure they have what they need. The hole puncher, pencils, pens, colored paper and makers will make counseling sessions more efficient for my students.
