  • Fidgets to Support SEL in the Classroom!

    Thank you so much for you donations. Thanks to all of you, my students have been able to work hard to earn new prizes in the prize box. We have been able to focus more on emotions by creating our own stick people to track our emotions during the day. We have even been enjoying our new calming strips to keep us focused and relaxed during the day.

    My students have many emotion needs in the classroom and these supplies made it so much easier for them to express their emotions and learn how to control it.”

  • Bilingual Stories for Hispanic Heritage Month

    My students and families were so excited to recieve their new bilingual books. Both Spanish and English speakers were excited to try and learn another language. We all got to pick our own book and write our names on the inside cover to claim that the special book was theres. We spent time reading them to each other during class and were even excited to pull them out at dismissal again while we waited for grown ups. Parents have told me of the impact at home, having books in their own language to be able to read to their child at home.”

  • Inspirational Literature During February

    Thank you for allowing me to support my diverse students by granting them with literature that can motivate them to believe in themselves, become better citizens, and make a stand to make a change in the world. My students love these books! We read I Am Enough and talked about no matter what people say our worth as a person is valued. We read The Youngest Marcher and discussed how she doesn't determine the change we can make in the world. We read many of the Being ___ series and talked about how we can be better citizens and improve ourselves and where we live.”

  • Classroom PPE

    The students and I are very grateful for the extra PPE! Students are aways excited to open a new box of supplies for the classroom. They love having extra masks on hand so that they do not have to wear wet, dirty, or uncomfortable masks. During the day we use the wipes to help keep our desks clean and germ free. Lastly the shields for their desks are super helpful in keeping our students safe by keeping them seperated from their table buddy especially with the flu and COVID hitting so hard currently. We are so thankful for your help in keeping us all safe while we learn!!”

These wobble stools will help my students learn because many of them do better with focus and learning when they have the ability to move and fidget. These stools will allow my class to do that when needed. This will be a tool for inside the classroom. I am teaching in a learning support cluster and many of my students will benefit from being able to release those extra wiggles and need to move while learning. Also, due to the COVID circumstances, sitting in a chair all day has been difficult, and these stools will help combat that issue.

About my class
