Using Our Creative Side!
Funded Nov 11, 2023We have been so busy creating and learning during the first semester of school! Using the donations, students have been able to show what they know in different ways. Here is what we have done so far!
- Watercolor with crayon to show the symbolism from fiction books
- Watercolor project to relate to bioluminescence
- Batik science project (using glue instead of wax) to show connections between two concepts from our firsts science unit
- Mixed media art with watercolor and collage for an autobiography essay
I am looking forward to embark on a cross stitch project using the cloth and sewing needles this spring in a collaboration with the Paine Arts and Garden Center, as well as our constellation sewing project. So many more fun things ahead. We wouldn't have been able to do any of these projects without your generous donations. I can't thank you enough!”
With gratitude,

Move to Focus!
Funded Nov 30, 2021My students were so excited when the donations first came in, my 5th graders were very vocal about their appreciation for the new tools! They couldn't wait to try them out, use them during lessons and independent work time, and throughout the day. Now, months later, they still eagerly choose between the wobble chairs or seats on Monday mornings when they have the choice to pick something new. They are able to focus better, make better independent work choices, and do the best of their ability. Thank you for helping my students do their best!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Westphal
