For the past couple of years I have been gardening with my preschool class. We have had previous donations from parent however, since the pandemic many parents have been on tough times. As a teacher, I want to continue gardening for my students for many reasons.
My students experience observation while watching plants grow. They conduct experiments to see which plant will grow faster, the one outside or inside. They use math by counting how many seeds they are planting and measuring as the plant grow. Most importantly, they try new food and tell their families about the whole process.
