Pencil Please!

Thank you very much for your contribution to my classroom project. My students LOVED their new pencil cases. They were all so excited to pick out their new pencil cases. Each student was able to pick a color that they liked for their pencil case. When I told them about how these materials were donated to them their faces light up. For them it means a lot that you all donated to help make their learning environment better. Some students already had their own pencil cases, but they were not in the best shape. These students were jumping for joy knowing that they now have a NEW pencil case. I had one student tell me that his old pencil case already had a hole in it so it was perfect timing for him. He was excited that his parents would not have to buy him a new pencil case. I had students volunteer to help pass out the new pencil cases because of how excited they all were.

Now students come into their classes ready to learn. They no longer ask for pencils like they used to. Students have taken ownership in their pencil cases and it has been great to see. It has been a huge help and you have no idea how much I appreciate this.”
