  • Alphabet Knowledge and Early Writing in PreK

    My students are using the resources during workstation groups. They are happily learning letter names and sounds and practicing correct letter formation through this beautiful hands-on activity. The first time I introduced the activity, I modeled the correct way to write the letter P for Panda ( start the line at the top to bottom, go up and do a semicircle).

    My Pre-K students were joyful and ecstatic when they saw the colorful sand tray letter boxes. They love using their fingers to write the letters on the sand and repeating the name and sound being traced.

    My classroom next project will be having my students working with Geostix manipulatives to form letters. We as educators understand children need hands-on manipulatives to learn efficiently.”

  • Organization and Independence in the Pre-K Classroom

    My Pre-k students and I are thrilled to have received this new resource for our

    classroom. Twelve of my kids can now do the morning routine: place their agenda, study

    folder and homework folder in their own space. This classic birch storage tray center will

    not only serve my current students but also my future students. My students have

    learned to the morning routine quickly and efficiently thanks to the new tray center. Again, your generous support is deeply appreciated.”

  • Writing is Essential in Pre-K

    I am using the writing binders to model correct letter writing and letter identification to my Pre-K students. My students are using the writing binders to practice proper letter writing skills and letter naming identification skills. One of these days, I practiced writing the letter of the week, the letter T. I gave them directions on how to write the letter T. First, you form a line from top to bottom. Next, you go to the top and make a line across. They enjoyed using the binders to practice uppercase letters and lowercase letters.

    My kids' eyes gleamed when they saw the new resources. Each student proudly works on their own binder. I feel so blessed to have received these resources for my class. This project will make a tremendous impact on my students academic achievement this year.
