  • Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

    We have began using the books with our curriculum. They have helped the children make new discoveries about how buildings are constructed. How it starts off as a drawn out plan to picking out the details to building. They are excited to read all our new books.

    The books have filled up our library. Also, they have helped me create activities for my students such as retelling props and sequencing. I have a few students who have been going to the library everyday because of the new books.

  • A Place for You and Me

    The rug is a big hit with my students. They were enthusiastic upon receiving it in our classroom. We have been using it for our morning meetings, in which we discuss the main topic of our day. We are able to sit around the rug, see one another and engage in conversation. It has helped create a well engaged environment.

    As well, it has created a beautiful space for our rug center. My students love creating a train track going around the rug. They use the images in the rug as props for their play.

  • Pre-K Gets Organized

    Funded May 3, 2023

    My students and I are using the bins for all the art supplies. They are thrilled to be able to see all the craft supplies and variety of materials we have. It has made everything accessible to them.

    When we began using the bins they were asking "Where did all those things come from? Who put them there?" I told them the bins got donated to our classroom. They were shocked when I told them we always had the materials we just were not able to see it because they were stored in the closet.

  • Up-To-Date Pre-K

    Thanks to your generosity our classroom now has a magna-tile center. The magna-tile cars, people, and legos make up our new center. The children are eager to explore the different manipulatives.

    When we opened up the box containing the magna-tiles the children spoke amongst themselves; "I'm happy we have more magna-tiles", "I love these", " I can't wait to use them", "These are cool to build."

    We are currently in our transportation unit, the children have been creating structures for the cars, creating vehicles, and cities. Once again, thank you!”

  • All-In-Print!

    Funded Feb 18, 2023

    Thank you for donating for our classroom to have a printer. We have been putting it to use to create labels and print out pictures the children took. Recently, we had created an airplane for our transportation unit. We were able to print out the different parts of an airport and airplane as inspiration for the children to create their own to add to the airport/airplane.

    When the printer first arrived my students were asking where it was going to go. They were so excited when they found out that it was going to be our classroom printer. They shared about the printer they have in their homes. Once again, thank you!!”
