The reason these books will be essential to our 4th grade reading/social studies classroom environment is: The kids cannot checkout from the school library due to COVID-19 protocols. The kids are the most incredible readers who need some cultural books that are meaningful to them and will inspire them to read even more. I have already begged, borrowed, and bought books for my classroom library this school year, but those have been read and now we need more. Having just moved back to the states after teaching overseas for five years, I have less than a stellar collection of books on my shelves currently. Help me make these precious grade 4 readers into strong young readers with fluency and reading stamina!
