Supplies for the Classroom
Funded Sep 24, 2021My students have been using the resources you provided daily. We have been focusing on Social-Emotional learning this year in response to the trauma the pandemic has caused for so many of our students. My students have use the coloring materials to share different parts of their lives with the class. We are focusing on being proud of being different and the students have used the tools to do just this.
My students were so excited to the tools. Our classroom has become so much more bright since receiving colored poster board. They are always always excited to see worksheets printed on colored paper rather than plain white paper. Although these things may seem so minute to so many of us for our students they make the world of a difference. They make the classroom more joyful especially when they are not experiencing joy when they leave each day.
We are currently working on preparing for our state test in March. We are really sharpening our writing skills so that we can be able to write 4 paragraph essays independently. We are also working on learning about the larger community. We are trying to become better community betters by learning about the different kind of people in this world. We are learning about how to stand up against injustice by reading the book The Proudest Blue by Ibtihaj Muhammad.”
