Welcome to Mrs. Gatling’s PreK classroom. In my classroom we have up to 18 students with smiling faces everyday. I have six students with IEP’s in which may have developmental delays or Autism. They can sometimes be overly sensitive to sound, light, or textures. Fidget toys will help with over stimulation for these students. My other 12 students love to learn through coloring, tracing, drawing, dramatic play, manipulatives, housekeeping, reading stories, math activities, singing songs and listening to music. They also enjoy running and playing outside on the playground and being social. My classroom has art and paperwork that my students created hanging around the walls and outside the door. The door is colorful as well as the outside window beside the door. We are a very happy diverse classroom made of 18 students, myself and my teacher assistant. She loves teaching and engaging with the students everyday as well.
