  • Scooter Fun!

    Funded Oct 17, 2023

Thank you again for helping my class get this class set of scooters. The students were beyond thrilled. They no longer fall and get frustrated like they did with the mini ones they used before. We've used them for scooter basketball, team building challenges, and for building core strength. They've turned into boats, cars, sleds, planes, and a variety of other modes of transportation to add some extra fun into our physical activity.

I'm starting to get ready for field day, so be on the look out for another way you can help my class. Thank you again for your generosity. It has made a huge impact.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Spector

  • Lost and Found Needs Help to be Reunited

    Funded Jan 11, 2023

As the school year wraps up I'd like to say thank you again for helping things run more smoothly. The lost and found project you helped fund really helped with organization and I've seen countless students easily find their lost items.

When I was setting up the cart and lost and found zone, students were very interested and thought it made that area of our cafeteria look so much better.

Many parents have also loved how the cart can be rolled out at dismissal. I've seen many parents thankful they found the sweatshirts and water bottles they just bought!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Spector

  • Field Day Award Medals

    Funded Apr 25, 2022

Thank you again for helping to make a wonderful Field Day for my students this past June. They were so excited to see their medals at the end of our fun event and even more excited to take them home. I had so many students wear them the next school day and future school days! Can't wait for Field Day this year.

My future projects are: pop-up volleyball nets for my volley unit, school-wide pedometers, and some organizational items to stream-line our lost and found system.

I love taking on projects of all kinds. It could be for my physical education class or just something to help our school run more smoothly.

Thank you for helping me make a difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Spector

  • Help to Improve Skill Related Fitness!

    Funded Nov 25, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donation. The students are getting great use out of this new equipment. They feel really special when I tell them how so many people contributed to helping their class. They get excited when we bring out the new equipment and treat it with care.

The stopwatches have helped students easily time each other in fun partnering activities. The younger students really enjoy working with the dance ribbons. The ribbons have added a fun way to learn shapes, pathways, levels, and letters. The stacking cups have been a great way to help students with their hand eye coordination and reaction time. Used with the stopwatches, the cups have provided some healthy competition. Who can stack the fastest!

I will continue to use this equipment as we move on to different units for the remainder of the year such as foot skills and cooperative games. Thank you again for your generousity!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Spector

  • Multiple Learning Spaces With Lots of Visuals

    Funded Oct 6, 2021

Thank you so much for the generous donation that allowed me to offer my students fun equipment to explore. The small foam balls are perfect for learning throwing and catching skills. They are the perfect size, and nice and soft, so if you miss and one bonks you... it's ok! Practicing a skill without the fear of getting hurt is so important in building confidence with new skills.

The students absolutely love these balls, plus the clear paper holders they use to write on. We've done peer assessments where students fill out this task sheet and evaluate their partner. They've also used them to record their times during timed drills.

Having different color balls and sign holders has helped tremendously in keeping my class organized. I plan on continuing to use all of these items from this project throughout this entire school year and years to come. Thank you again!!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Spector

These items will help me create more visuals for my students to follow during our physical education classes. The laminating pouches will help make my signage more durable, while the cone tents will allow me to easily change signs with directions and information. The different color soft foam balls will help students throw and catch without fear of getting hurt as well as allow me to easily group and organize by color. The dry erase pocket holders and wet erase pens are a great and easy way for students to use individual tasks sheets to self and peer assess.
