  • A Learning Table for ESL Students!

    My students and I are forever grateful for you and your generosity. We are a title1 school so your donation goes a long way. Being a first year teacher I had very limited supplies but because of this donation I can reach my students in a more deep and meaningful way.

    With this learning table I can now do more guided small group activities. We use this table daily in our classroom, I can now offer small group instruction and reach more students individually. The table is being used for guided reading, Math, and centers. My students love to come and work with me in small groups.

    Ever since having this table I have seen a difference in their reading levels and math skills because I can work with them one on one. This table also allows me to do small groups while providing social distancing.

    Once again Thank you from the bottom of our hearts this is something that I will use for the rest of my teaching career.”

  • Let's Get Down to Basics!

    We are extremely grateful for your donations they are helping us learn better. We are going to be using the things to work in small group and it is helping me differentiate instruction and target my students individually.

    My students were so happy and excited to receive these supplies, I am sure they felt like it was Christmas in September. They feel like part of the community when they get a chance to change the calendar daily.

    My next steps is to use the supplies to help my students grow and learn English by displaying vocabulary in the pocket charts for my students to review when needed for writing. The markers are being used individually for students to write in their personal boards. We use the markers and personal boards during phonics and math. This has been a hard yer on all of you and your donations have made it all better.

ESL students are so overwhelmed with the whole group dynamic and I want to provide a smaller and safe learning space. I'm requesting a Kaplan kidney shape learning table and four chairs which will be used to seat small groups for reading and math instruction. This table and matching chairs will provide the students with a space where they can have more time to process and comprehend the lessons and also better work with their fellow students. Small groups also give me the the chance to understand my students better so I can differentiate my lesson to accommodate their learning styles. The table will also be used by the ELL Coach who pushes in throughout the week.
