Let's Learn About the World!
Funded Sep 17, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to my project. Because of your generosity, I was able to purchase books, posters, and activities to support my students' learning. The various posters help me provide visual learning aids for my students. They are able to access these visuals as we learn about new social studies topics. My students are also developing an understanding of different cultures around the world. They are able to see cultural representations through these posters and use them to make connections. My students especially love the continent posters. They really enjoy learning about life on the different continents!
My 4th and 5th graders are enjoying the states and capitals activities that were purchased. They are working really hard to learn all their states and capitals so these activities have helped reinforce their learning. These activities have allowed me to provide hands-on, collaborative learning in my classroom. Thank you for helping make my dream of a collaborative and engaging social studies classroom possible!”

It's Time to Explore Our World!
Funded Aug 2, 2023My students were so excited for all of the social studies learning materials I was able to purchase because of awesome donors like you! Access to these supplies has really helped learning come alive in my classroom. My 6th grade students created ABC posters for the civilization of Mesopotamia to share their knowledge using supplies purchased through this project. My 4th grade students are currently working on a commemorative stamp project about women in history who showed great heart to go along with their new reading/writing unit. Without materials from this project, these projects would not be possible.
In addition, I love displaying books for my students that match the units we are studying. My students have enjoyed reading and learning more about the topics that we are studying. Access to additional books on social studies topics has helped support my students' learning, in all grade levels. My students and I are so thankful for the opportunities these resources have provided in our social studies learning journey!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 9 other donors. It's Math Time!
Funded Mar 23, 2023My students were so excited when they saw all the new math manipulatives and materials in our classroom. They couldn't wait to use them! Not only did we use the manipulatives for hands-on learning, but students also were able to use many of the materials during free choice times. Students especially loved creating things with the base 10 blocks and pattern blocks.
The donated materials were beneficial for my 5th grade students as well as 3rd grade students. 3rd graders used the money to practice making change and used many of the geometry manipulatives for visual aids. Some of my 5th graders teamed up to teach a geometry lesson to some of the 3rd graders and loved having the 3D shapes to make the lesson more engaging. The donated resources helped create an engaging and hands-on learning experience for many students!
I plan to continue to use the math materials to engage students during summer school and future math lessons. I look forward to watching students succeed because of the hands-on learning they are able to do because of these math materials. Thank you for your help making learning hands-on and engaging for all my students!”

This classroom project was brought to life by 3MGives.Books, Books, and More Books!
Funded Mar 30, 2023My students were so excited to see all of the new books in our classroom! They couldn't wait to check out a new book. To introduce students to all of our wonderful new books, I created a short slideshow that gave the genre of each book/series and a short description of what the book/series was about. These new books will introduce my students to amazing fantasy worlds, give them access to characters they can relate to, and help them become detectives and solve mysteries. In addition, these books will introduce students to some very important life lessons such as how to be a good friend, the importance of perseverance, and how to find the good in all situations. Furthermore, these new books are promoting diversity and acceptance in our classroom.
In my classroom, I try to incorporate as much independent reading time as possible. Students are challenged to read books in different genres, but are given the freedom to choose books that interest them. I think the element of choice is key in helping students develop a love of reading. Students enjoy spreading out around the classroom and using our different flexible seating options when they read. Many of my students look forward to independent reading everyday. With so many new book choices, my students are choosing to read during their free time as well. Their enthusiasm for new books can be seen by anyone who enters our classroom!
I am also enjoying my time reading some of the new books so I can recommend them to students. I love having so many options available to meet my students' needs and wants when it comes to independent reading. Without generous donors like you, I would not have been able to provide these new reading opportunities to my students. Thank you so much for your kindness and your help creating a classroom of lifelong readers!”

Funded Jan 7, 2023Thank you for your contribution to my flexible seating project. My students and I greatly appreciate your support! Students use the wobble stools at our small group table everyday. They love being able to wobble while they work! The ability to move has helped improve their focus tremendously. They also enjoy moving the wobble stools around the classroom while they work in groups.
My students were very excited when they first saw the new wobble stools and wobble cushions. They couldn't wait to start using them! Many of the students enjoy using the wobble cushions at their spots. This helps them get their wiggles out while they work.
I am very thankful for the opportunity to provide these flexible seating options for my students. The availability of wobble stools and wobble cushions has made a positive contribution to our classroom environment. I am looking forward to having these flexible seating options for many years to come! Without generous donors like you, this project wouldn't have been possible. Thank you again for your generosity!”
