Snacks and Incentives!
Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you for the snacks that you have donated to our classroom! The students are more nourished everyday to be able to have snacks in the classroom, fueling their brains, and also they are great after-school snacks for the programs we have beyond the normal school day. They were also a great help this year when students did not like the school lunch provided to them, and were able to have granola bars, chomps, and/or fiber one brownie bars to keep them from being hungry. The mechanical pencils/pens were also a hit this year! It helped my students to work even harder than they already do! Thank you so much! We are very grateful!”

Student Hygiene
Funded Sep 23, 2023Thank you so much for your generosity! These resources are going a very long way in these students' lives and they are very grateful. When we had our advisory lesson on student hygiene, the students were very shy, awkward, and very giggly, as expected. However, by the end of the lesson and class discussion, they were understanding of their peers and on what they should do to practice proper hygiene. Some students were proudly saying, "I use deodorant!" and pulled them out from their bags and their pockets! Even so, they were very glad to receive more and absolutely loved the individually wrapped toothbrushes, soaps, and mouthwash. Thank you for making this possible!”

Snacks and Incentives!
Funded Sep 12, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students absolutely love these snacks for incentives, prizes, and as snacks throughout the day! The majority love the fruit snacks, sour patch, chips ahoy, capri-suns, granola bars, jolly ranchers, and rice krispies treats.
There have been moments so far in this school year where students come in to school early, not having eaten breakfast yet. They're sleepy and very low energy. Giving them a granola bar sometimes works wonders! They come back ready to work and are very grateful. These resources help students know that we care!
Another time, a student didn't get a chance to eat lunch because they were making up work for another class. They were very very grateful for the snacks that *you* provided because they had a long day ahead (with afterschool programs and activities following the end of the official school day). This really wouldn't be possible without you! I am so very grateful for you and your kindness.”

Feminine Hygiene
Funded Sep 8, 2023Thank you for your generous donations to this project! My students appreciate having resources in the classroom for when "that time" comes around unexpectedly, or they need more pads/liners to use. They also love that they can take some home, for when they don't have any at home to use. They were also very very excited and giggly when the deodorants were presented, as they had gym earlier that day and had not-so-pleasant conversations with each other who had a little body odor. Now, we can avoid that! These resources are already being put to good use and helping students in the school have what they need. Even students who I don't currently teach, but did in previous years, are coming back and asking for them! Thank you again for making this possible!”

These snacks have been very helpful in the day-to-day lives of our students, whether used as incentives to do well, participate in class discussions, or to have as an after school snack. Granola bars and healthy snacks are given to students in the morning, during lunch, and during aftershool programs, when they are hungry, and candy is given as incentives. Supplies for Students, Supplies for Success!
Funded Sep 24, 2021Thank you for your gracious donations to helping our students have the supplies they need to help organize their work, thoughts, and learning. The supplies purchased are going a long way in their everyday learning as they are given various work to put in the folders instead of cramming papers into their backpacks and losing them. Their notebooks include notes from every academic lesson learned in class and help to organize their learning. Classroom supplies such as markers pencils and pens are being used to help teach and for students to use each day as well. All the supplies are so helpful in the everyday classroom and we are more than grateful for people like you! Thank you again!”
