  • Happy Classroom!

    Funded Oct 30, 2023

Thank you for your very generous donations to my classroom. Our classroom has been clean, colorful and engaging since receiving the materials from our donors choose wishlist. I have been able to thoroughly clean our classroom daily using the cleaning supplies that we received. Students have been healthy all year and have not gotten sick therefore attendance has been great in my classroom. Our classroom has also been colorful and engaging to students because of all the projects we were able to do using all the art supplies we have received.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kouroupakis

  • Becoming Better Readers one Book at a Time

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

Thank you so much for giving my students the opportunity to become better readers. They were so happy to receive the new books and could not wait to be able to read them. Since my students have received the books their reading levels have improved. The books have been used to tackle different reading strategies the children have been introduced to. These books will remain in the classroom library for years to come so that every child coming into first grade will have access to them. The children are making sure they are keeping the books "safe" for other children to use. They are so thankful that they have received them. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Kouroupakis

The low income, some special needs, first grade students in my building will get an opportunity to learn a wide variety of topics from Time for Kids. These magazines will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them, they complete work there, and they read independently! With TIME for Kids magazines, they will be informed of current events around the world. This will also help with their reading comprehension and stamina. The pictures will help low level readers understand what they are reading as well.
