The aquarium will provide a hands-on, visual ecosystem for our classroom. Most of my students are visual learners and I want to provide more hands-on experience with ecosystems. It also ties in with our 5th-grade science standards. This will bring science to life and will be retained in their long-term memory. This will help our students see how ecosystems interact with one another. These interactions will tie their learning into real-life events. This will be a great short-term study on everything in an ecosystem works and how it affects symbiosis.
