Materials from Social Thinking are specifically designed for children with Autism to learn the social skills necessary to build connections with peers. Michelle Garcia Winner is well known in the special education field for her work in developing curriculum/materials that are clear and explicit in teaching social skills. The series of books that I have chosen are engaging for students and can be used with small groups for discussion. The behavior poster is reusable and will be used to identify a variety of social behaviors that students encounter throughout their day. It's a great, interactive visual.
