Students need a place where they can feel calm and relax. COVID has hit hard in my community causing anxiety to rise among our kids. On a daily base, I see students who are grieving and at the same time trying to go through school. My office serves as a safe haven for my students and I want to make sure it has everything they need. I use different methods to help them cope with their feelings from drawing and journaling to breathing and relaxation techniques. I want to be able to provide items that will help them control their anxiety. I have purchased things out of my pocket but still have a long way to go. Being able to provide a well equipped office for them is a dream come true!
