  • Sometimes We Need to Be Distraction Free

    These tools that were provided for our classroom have been a wonderful addition. We are extremely thankful for your donations that have helped us create a positive learning environment for our students.

    Our students were very curious and excited to see the new tools that were donated. The room divider allowed us to create a Sensory area in our classroom. It helped us keep this area closed or open when needed, but also allowed our students to see they had an area to seek sensory input when needed. The mailbox that was donated also became a great addition to our writing area. We have our students write letters to friends, family members, or even Christmas Elves and put them in the mailbox. This mailbox helps our students be encouraged to learn pre-writing skills.

    Our classroom is very thankful for all of your help and donations. We will continue to use the tools to give our students all the help they need to be successful.”

  • Everyday We Learn Through Play!

    Thank you so much for your donations and helping our classroom. The students were very excited to see each new item and eager to use them.

    Upon first glance they quickly wanted to use the tilt and turn sensory windows. The windows were a great addition to our science area and help our students with turn taking and focus. The gel sensory shapes have been a great sensory tool for the children during circle time and a learning tool. Each student has also taken turns to use the hear myself phones. They enjoy hearing their own voices as well as participating in pretend play with their peers. These phones continue to aid in building language and social skills in our classroom.The biggest enjoyment we have received from these donations have been the liquid floor tiles. These tiles have been a huge help in our movement area of the classroom. The tiles continue to bring excitement for the children as their move their bodies and get their sillies out.

    We appreciate all the items that were donated! Thank you again for your help and the joy that you have brought to our class. Please know that each of the items are being used continuously and are very much appreciated. You have helped bring additional support with these learning tools for our students. Thank you so much!”

These tools will help make a difference as the children will be able be engaged with these tactile items that they can touch, feel and play with. Our classroom strongly believes the children will learn as they play through exploration and their peers. The students can actively use these tools to play together, learning from play and one another as they explore the floor tiles and sensory shapes. Through the behavior books children will explore understanding their emotions and identifying them as a group with their peers. The hear myself phones will also allow some of our students with little to no speech the option to hear themselves and others as they play, which will allow them to explore more speech opportunities. Each item listed will be helpful to our children, from the floor mats that will lead exploration of many topics, to the scissors that our student do not have. We, as a class, appreciate any donation, thank you!
