Thank you so much for fully funding my "Shielding Our Fourth-Grade Students With Sneeze Guards!" project request! My fourth-grade classroom would be one of a few classes to get plastic desk shields that were donor-sponsored from DonorsChoose. My teacher colleagues have been buying these desk shields/sneeze guards only one or two at a time in an attempt to keep our classrooms safe. This class set of five sneeze guards that you funded will allow me to teach more children in my class centers with the confidence that they are protected.”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Allstate Foundation and 6 other donors.

The use of these personal sneeze guards will help to protect my 4th-grade classroom environment. It will provide increased protection against the transmission of covid-19 allowing for my students to stay in school and get the education they need and deserve. I plan to be able to use the sneeze guards so that students can work and learn at their desks safely. These sneeze guards will allow me to be able to safely implement the curriculum, while also providing differentiated instruction. With students having to maintain a safe distance, the sneeze guards I am requesting will provide us with the opportunity to implement some type of normalcy and creativity in classroom instruction. In other words, it provides some flexibility in the way in which I can implement fun yet safe class instruction for my students.
