I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donation. Thanks to you, the students look forward to, "Whip It Up Wednesdays!" They speak about it often and can't wait to see what foods they will be making during that time. Most importantly, they are learning skills by having fun. It's made a huge impact in their social and academic skills. Your donation will go home with them in June. Cooking is a skill that incorporates many subjects and supports diversity and culture in the classroom. The benefits of cooking with students increase language development and a child's vocabulary. It enhances fine motor skills, increases math ability, improves reading skills, introduces science and teaches life skills! Once the students learn how to start cooking in the classroom, their knowledge will transfer at home which is known to encourage family bonding. The aprons will show students' creativity as they will design them with their own art. It is both engaging and educational!
