Make Virtual and Augmented Learning a Reality!
Funded Sep 25, 2019I can't believe we did it! Together, we are bringing amazing AR/VR opportunities to students. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and for showing these students that they matter! Merge Cubes and their corresponding science standards are going to bring content to over 900 students that wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to explore science in this hands-on way. You are making the once impossible, possible.”

Funded Feb 8, 2019Because of your generosity, you have enabled us to develop an entirely new segment of our Teach Team that can positively impact not only our school but our community. As students begin to learn and explore with this new camera, the possibilities become more and more apparent. Our kids are looking to take images of various businesses and create a virtual tour to submit to our city administrators, with the hope of it being included on the city's webpage.
Additionally, we are using our new camera to create a virtual tour of our school to use with incoming students and staff. We want new students to feel comfortable with where things are located before they come to school. Our new students are quite often language learners, so we are also able to utilize some of our bilingual Teach Team students to create a Spanish version of our virtual tour. We want EVERYONE to feel welcome in our space.”

Bridging the Technology Gap: Digital Content for All
Funded Nov 14, 2012Because of your generosity, students in our school have the privilege to have access to so many tools and methods of 21st Century learning than ever before.
Through the use of the Apple TV, we have been able to take the limited numbers of i-devices available to us and spread them to teachers who can then use the Apple TV in their rooms for showcasing lessons, educational videos, and applications for learning.
People like you, who value education, are truly wonderful. Students in preschool through 12th grades have had the advantage of learning through the use of the Apple TV! Your impact will extend to students for years to come. I am forever humbled and honored by your gift.”

Closing the Technology Gap:Fostering 21st Century Skills
Funded May 2, 2012To our generous donors we are eternally grateful for the impact you've had on our small school. Because of your generosity, our children are able to have exposure to new ways of learning, 21st Century Skills, and have fun along the way!
The project that we had funded provided an iPod for our kids to use. Without your help, most of these kids would never have the ability to work with such a device. It has leveled the playing field for our students!
We come from a fairly poor community, albeit a friendly, wonderful one. We have many children who are not able to have such devices, and by giving the iPod to us through Donor's Choose, those students now don't have to feel "less" or "different" than other kids.
You ARE making a difference in the lives of students. Please continue to do your great work and help children. We appreciate you so very much.”

Funded Dec 5, 2011Well, we are almost a month into using our new iPod, and I can't begin to put into words just how much your gift has meant to my students and me! Currently, we have downloaded over 100 apps for the students to use along with their curriculum. You have given them a new spark, a renewed energy for learning with this tool. We are working on biographies right now, and the kids have now been taught to use some great 21st Century tools to do their research, cite sources, and present their information for their peers.
I just want you to know, above all, how appreciative we are for your generosity. Now that we have successfully completed our first Donor's Choose project, we are considering trying for another one for our room. They each want to use it, so getting more for our room would be a great goal. You should also know that each of my students knows that you have given of yourselves for the betterment of their education. You should have seen the smiles on their faces when we opened it up and let them "play". You are amazing. Bless you!”

Mrs. Langenhorst
