Living in a high crime and poverty stricken environment our young ladies deserve to be provided the education in wellness by the promotion of healthy eating, and regular physical fitness. They often don't have the basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter. My students come to school hungry, and sometimes after the academic day hungry again. The only time some of these kids eat is at school during breakfast and lunch. For them to stay after school and be active in interscholastic activities, I want to provide healthy snacks to every girl, every day to empower every girl to be 100% prepared to do great things. I want to continue to fuel them with words of encouragement, food for the soul and equip them with a variety of interscholastic activities. Truly, they are my inspiration. They go beyond the classroom. They are destined for greatness.
