Funded Nov 23, 2020I greatly appreciate the dry erase boards that were sent to me this morning. With a constant change from online teaching to in person classes, having multiple dry erase boards at my convenience is so helpful. I am able to teach my lesson is at home with convenience and ease. Using multiple colors to write words for ELA classes help students with visual modalities. It is Also in the one minute with how many protocols in the school. Not having to bring the dry race board back-and-forth to my virtual at home setting decreases the spread of germs.”

Funded Jan 10, 2020When I received my Hokki stool for my classroom my students were so excited. The fact that a new classroom chair was ordered especially for my class, and my class or leave made them feel special. The students were excited to try out the new chair but were very mindful to take turns in doing so.
We have already implemented the chair into classroom read aloud's. Some students get fidgety well listening to stories and have trouble focusing. This chair allowed them to use their bodies as well as their mind to help them focus.
My students come from a diverse background with different learning styles and learning needs. The use of this chair will help them learn more effectively. Thank you again so much for your donation.”

We Can Do It!
Funded Feb 25, 2019The use of these chrome books we made incorporating technology in the classroom much easier. The students with different learning styles were able to receive books Ondine and read individually and in groups. Students that have different learning styles will be able to choose to listen to a book on their level or read along side a mentor reader.
What the students find most exciting about this technological devise it is something that the school normally doesn't provide. They are also aware that it was given to them through donations. This in my opinion really amplifies what it means to give back to society and hopefully intern my students will do the same.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018Thank you so much for your generosity and funding my project to help my students focus. My students use the balance disc during writing to help them focus. When my students first saw the packages they were excited to receive the donations. Upon opening them and seeing the colorful bags their excitement grew.
Seeing that there are people in the world that loves to give to others is such a good message for my students as well as the school community.”

Its the Little Things That Count😀
Funded Dec 18, 2015My class was overwhelmed with excitement over receiving these big boxes to our classroom. Upon getting the delivery and unpacking the excitement grew and grew. The books and manipulative that went with each of the sets were so influential in my lessons and had the students really grasp what was being taught. They were all common core aligned and designed to meet the needs of my students.
Reading in my classroom comes in different variations. We use a lot of hands-on work as well as movement and a kinesthetic approach. We read using the spot board often. We even go into small reading groups and work with partners within the classroom. Students are paired a group according to their skill levels and instructional needs. These fun and exciting games were just what was necessary to liven up my classroom.
The students with special needs most enjoyed and utilize these reading books and centers. Due to their hands on nature and very colorful exterior, the students found them exciting. A few of my students have autistic characteristics and have a hard time controlling their behavior and their outbursts. This definitely calmed them down. The students that have trouble controlling themselves, this definitely made them eager to learn. Overall, I can't thank you enough for this generous contribution to my classroom. A commode you see yo overall, I can't thank you enough for this generous contribution to my classroom.”

Funded Mar 28, 2014My students were so excited when the principal walked into the classroom and delivered the two packages of books. The newness of the box caused so much joy. It is not very often that we received new supplies or books. They compared it to winning the lottery.
I will be implementing the materials in centers as well as in writing. It will start our nonfiction unit and study of autobiographies. The use of photographs on this book will really give the students a clear image of the people they are studying.
Thank you so much for this donation it will be used with my class this year as well as future classes to come.”

Committed To Excellence
Funded Dec 18, 2013Upon receiving the literacy centers my class was thoroughly excited. They anticipated center time with great excitement immediately. After reviewing the rules about how to handle the centers they were ready to go. This attributed to the fact that they were able to work cooperatively better than ever before. This aided learning and retaining the information dramatically. Many of my students are visual learners. The photographs on the center cards were extremely helpful.
My students were curious and excited about the donors that helped them receive these exciting new classroom additions. I use it as a positive reinforcement for behavior. They are only able to use these new centers on making the right choices in the classroom. My students were very appreciative and wanted to
know who donated these materials to our class. They want to do a good deed in return for them. It is so cute to see the happiness in their faces.”
