Many of my 5th-grade students are English Learners, meaning their second language is English. It is my responsibility to provide as much support as I can through using strategies of ESL instruction. Students who study English as a second language benefit from listening to the audio of a text, helping them further understand the content. Students that listen to text as they see the words can improve an otherwise two-year gap in comprehension loss. Please help provide us with headphones to improve our technology learning experience. This way, students can focus on individualized instruction in a quiet work area, helping them focus on their activities and tasks. Students will also be able to watch videos and play games without having to worry about the sound disrupting our classroom environment.
