A Kazoo for You! (And You, and You, and You)
Funded May 19, 2022Thanks to you, we have been funded to bring some joy into the classroom for the end of the year! I deeply appreciate your generosity and I can’t wait for my students to receive and decorate their very own kazoos. They will all be so surprised and excited thanks to your kindness.”

Amplifying the Music
Funded Jan 18, 2022Having a functioning speaker in the music classroom has been HUGE!! The students are all able to hear so much better and participate fully with all of our exciting activities.
They absolutely love the way it lights up as well, and this function helps us to calm down at the start of class, too. I have been bringing my Pre-K students up to the music room to do gross motor activities, and this has brought so much joy into their morning routines.
Additionally, the voice amplifier has helped me to aid students with more specific needs, making them feel welcome and included in our daily routines. Whether it's singing along or finding the right rhythms to tap out, our students now have complete aural access to this classroom, thanks to your generosity!”

This classroom project was brought to life by A New York City Parent and 3 other donors. Our Guitars and Ukuleles Need a Place to Rest
Funded Oct 11, 2021Thank you so much for your help with this project! Because of your support, we have been able to use and store instruments safely without incident. The lives of our classroom instruments have been extended and the students now have more space to move freely throughout the room.
Kindergarten has been absolutely loving the space to use for free dance while we learn about our "Musician of the Week" and listen to some of their top songs. Finishing our early hip-hop unit, we jammed to some Run DMC together and showed off OUR Adidas.
My first graders especially love to help me pass out and put away ukuleles, and now that we have proper wall mounts, they are able to help me take them down and put them up each week.
Moving forward, we are going to be exploring the classroom guitars. With the new guitar rack, we can now safely and easily access them for this unit.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Z
