  • Building Our Classroom Library

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Having a classroom library is a fundamental aspect of developing young readers. I try to make my classroom library a space where students have the freedom to explore reading materials that speak to them as readers. When students are given autonomy over their reading materials, they are much more likely to seek out reading as a form of self-expression. The more books I have that my students are interested in, the more they read, and the more their reading skills blossom.

As we get closer to the end of the school year, I give my students additional independent reading time in class. Oftentimes, I'll put up a fireplace on our classroom projector and students find a quiet spot in the classroom to use flexible seating to really get immersed in our books. After an independent reading session of about 20 minutes, we come together for "Book Talk" where we focus on one question pertaining to our independent reading. I love our Book Talk sessions because it gives students an opportunity to apply their reading and comprehension skills in a way that is differentiated and engaging.

Without generous donors like you, I would not be able to equip my library with a variety of books that fit my students' needs and interests. Thank you so much for making my visions for my classroom library come to life.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Brown

    Funded May 11, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation! My students love read-alouds, and I love being able to connect important content with materials that are relevant to their lives and the world around them. Donors like you make it possible for me to do my job effectively. Thank you for your contribution and for making the world a better place!”

  • Engaging Resource for the Holiday Season

    Funded Dec 1, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. This project has allowed me to incorporate engaging materials to help keep my students motivated and excited to learn as we enter the spring season.

Most recently, we used the materials donated through this project for so many spring activities, including an Earth Day reflection activity, a Saint Patrick's Day Social-and-Emotional-Learning activity, and a multiplication-themed egg hunt.

The Saint Patrick's Day SEL activity was my personal favorite for a few reasons. The activity required students to randomly select a fellow classmate to write a compliment for. They were able to decorate their craft and deliver it to the classmate they wrote about. At the end of the day, every student went home with a compliment made especially for them.

It was so wonderful seeing my students encourage and celebrate one another during this activity, and it would not have been possible without the incredible resources provided through TPT and your donation to help fund the purchase of these materials.”

  • Midyear Classroom Restock

    Funded Feb 27, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation! This time of year, school supplies begin to get scarce. I have loved making my classroom as student-centered as possible by providing my students with plenty of different ways to showcase their learning, and these supplies allow me to do just that.

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom by donating these essential items.”

  • Engaging Resources for the New School Year

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Teachers Pay Teachers is a resource that I use in my classroom every day. From differentiation materials to fun holiday activities, I would not be able to cater my classroom to my students' needs without the resources available on Teachers Pay Teachers.

So far this year, I have used Teachers Pay Teachers to make my classroom a welcoming environment for my students. So many creative teachers have created beautiful designs that fit a wide variety of themes that are not available on other platforms. Using TPT, I was able to find resources that fit my classroom environment.

Most importantly, I have loved taking full advantage of all of the supplemental materials I have been able to find on TPT. One of my favorite things to supplement my ELA lessons is "Boom" Cards. Boom cards are digital task cards that can be used to reinforce or assess my students' understanding of a skill. I especially love that Boom Cards don't have to be printed out and they often have audio support, which is so helpful for my English Language Learners and developing readers!

Teachers Pay Teachers truly helps me be the best educator I can be by providing me with the tool to fully support my scholars. Thank you for making that possible.”

  • Gearing up for the New School Year (Part 2)

    Funded Jul 31, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation! The beginning of a new school year is always filled with so many different emotions. I was so eager to provide my students with all of the essential items that they needed to start the school year off strong.

Spiral notebooks have become essential to our classroom instruction. This year, I introduced math interactive notebooks to strengthen my students' ownership of their learning experience. By cutting and gluing in guided notes and other interactive activities, my student's students have been able to a resource that will help them all year long.

The plastic mesh pouches have also become essential to incorporating strong reading habits in our classroom. In their pouches, students keep an independent reading book from our classroom library to take back and forth with them to read independently.

All of the items in this package have been hugely important in making my classroom a student-centered learning environment. Thank you so much for equipping me with all of the necessary tools to make that happen.”

  • Getting a Clean Slate with KleenSlate Whiteboards

    Funded Jul 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Whiteboards are an instrumental component of every elementary classroom. Whether it's practicing math facts or refining our knowledge of grammar skills, I love using whiteboards to enhance student engagement and participation.

Kleen Slate whiteboards are by far the most durable and convenient whiteboards I have ever used. I love that they have a handle, so students are able to easily show their work. The double-sided options with grid or lined paper have also been hugely helpful for my students when drawing arrays or practicing their handwriting.

Thank you so much for bringing Kleen Slate whiteboards into my students' lives!”

  • Gearing Up for the Next School Year

    Funded Jun 23, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. With your kind contributions, I was able to get a head start on ensuring that my classroom is well-stocked for my students to best fit their needs.

The spice rack has been used to feature books that we are reading in class. In particular, I have been using it to advertise read-aloud books, or books that are used for First-Chapter Friday (First-Chapter Friday is when I pick a book from our classroom library to read aloud to the students every Friday).

The dry-erase pocket sleeves have been enormously helpful during our multiplication unit as students learn how to multiply and divide with Multiplication Charts. They love that they have an interactive resource to help them build their skills!

All of these resources have been instrumental in helping my students thrive academically.”

  • Early Readers Are Early Leaders!

    Funded Jun 21, 2022

Thank you so much for your generous donation. These texts have provided my students with a wide array of genres and reading levels to fit my individual students' needs and interests.

Third grade is a huge year for independent reading. In my classroom, my students are challenged to completer a 40 Book Challenge where they read forty books in a school year! I know that may seem like a lot, but now, each of my students can find a large number of books that they find interesting. For example, one of my students has developed a healthy obsession with the Dragon Masters series. She's finished twelve of the books already! It's only November and she is already completed over a quarter of her goal for the year.

It has been incredible watching my students' love of reading blossom, and thank you so much for making that possible.”

  • Building Our Classroom Library

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

Thank you so much for your generosity. I added these books to my classroom library to provide students' with books that can appeal to their various interests. I love how Planet Omar provides representation for Muslim students by telling the story of Omar and all of his incredible adventures. I love how Bad Guys provides interesting and hilarious story-telling for my developing-readers. Early in the school year, I featured Bad Guys during "First Chapter Friday", where I read the first chapter of a book to encourage my students to read more chapter books. My students fell in love with Bad Guys, this donation package allowed me to complete my set of books in the series. It is now one of my classroom's favorites.

Thank you again for helping me grow my students' love of reading!”

After a year and a half of virtual learning, my 3rd graders are working hard to master the basics of phonological awareness. These skills are vital to continuing their development as learners and leaders. I want to make sure that my students have all of the tools they need to be as successful as possible during this pivotal time. As a teacher in a two-teacher classroom, it is vital for my students to have multiple means of representation that are both entertaining and effective. By using exciting hands-on items, like pop-its and spelling games, I can make this important milestone in their educational paths as exciting and engaging as possible.
