The Heights We Will Reach in Speech!
Funded Sep 29, 2022I can not begin to thank you enough for your generous donations towards my classroom project. Your kindness and generosity has helped to create such a wholesome learning environment for my students this past school year. The pandemic has really turned the school system upside down and has even made learning that much more difficult for our youth, which is why any assistance is greatly appreciated. I felt so comfortable knowing that I had resources and tools readily available to me that were able to make learning fun, interactive and engaging for my young minds. Our students at PS 103 have been through so much and I just wanted to be the best educator/SLP I could be to them. This all was made possible through your help with funding my project!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Dez

My favorite part of it all is seeing how enthusiastic my students were to come to my classroom and learn with me. The bulk of my work and teaching is based on literacy skills and reading/writing instruction. The new books and resources I was provided with gave me the opportunity to work on vocabulary skills, decoding skills and overall phonics skills. All these skills are part of the foundation of a great reader, and I am just thankful to be able to have my students walk away with these skills to further advance them in their academic careers.
Reading in my classroom is so important as I foster a system in which I want my students to be the leaders in our book discussions. I also encourage them to be the reader as well in order to build their confidence in reading, so all the resources to help my students get to this point are greatly appreciated. Many of my students come from low-income families/backgrounds and they appear to be the ones that enjoy the books so much because many of them have expressed that they do not have books at home. I am fortunate enough to be able to introduce them to the magical world of books and what they offer to their learning experience. I can not thank you donors enough for making this all happen for me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
With gratitude,
Mr. Dez
