With the adoption of our new curriculum, students are required to listen to engaging videos and work to complete questions about the videos, while also reading and writing about the videos. Furthermore, when it comes to my lower readers, they need to be able to access the curriculum supports (especially my ELL students), and sometimes this must be done on their own, listening through headphones, away from the rest of the class while the rest of the class does another task. Having some class sets of headphones will assist me in making my curriculum accessible to students of all economic backgrounds.
