  • Snacks for All

    Funded Jan 12, 2024

Thank you so very much for the generous donations for our classroom snack time. Having snacks in the classroom has had an amazing impact on my students learning experience. I received the happiest reaction from students when the surprises came to our door. My students love snack time and this donation allowed them the energy and comfort to stay engaged in lessons for the remainder of our school days. To illustrate, I noticed because of the snack time that students were staying more alert in the classroom. This donation has provided us with a more positive classroom environment and helped engage students in more conversation with friends about snacks. Also, this donation provided our classroom with financial relief. We are so very thankful for our donors for thinking of our classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bielewicz

  • Rocks and Fossils STEAM

    Funded Sep 17, 2021

This donation made a huge impact on my students when I taught third grade. It gave them the perfect hands on experience when learning about rocks and fossils through STEAM! My students were stunned when they saw the materials because they were not ordinary materials that we normally use within the classroom, they were unique.

Currently, I teach Kindergarten, the next steps for my classroom involve colorful hands on experiences. My hope is to get all my Kindergartners reading by the end of the year.

We are very thankful with Donors Choose and the opportunities it had given our classes throughout the years!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Bielewicz

The materials for this project will provide a fun and engaging learning experience for students when learning about fossils. The students will explore Identifying fossils and learn how paleontologist study and excavate fossils. This hands on project will give the students a deeper understanding of how fossils are formed and what the environment was like in areas they are found in. The students will apply what they have learned about fossils in a real life hands on project. To demonstrate their understanding, students will create their own fossil and explain the process in which it was formed.
