Funded Apr 20, 2024Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for your generous gift of math-based games and activities ~ we're so grateful!
The games you gifted are helping my students have fun while becoming better mathematicians. They're practicing the the basics of counting, addition and subtraction. They're also learning to pay attention to details, strategically plan and forward think. Game time is the best time.
One game quickly became a favorite, "Count Your Chickens." It's a cooperative game, which is a "new to us" way of game play. Instead of competing against others, all players work together to accomplish the goal. This game has allowed my children to experience genuine camaraderie and it has positively changed some dynamics of our classroom.
Thank you for believing in us!”

Ms. Howard
Let the Games Begin!
Funded Jun 29, 2024Knowing this comes from someone who works with students and also shares my new interest in cooperative board games makes it all the more special. I can’t wait to share this information with my young students when we return from summer break ~ I know they’ll be wowed. Thank You for fostering a love of positive gaming in my students!!”

Help Us Have a Solid Base
Funded Dec 30, 2023My students and I are so appreciative of the fifteen LEGO bases you gifted us! They're a great addition to our math lessons/stations and to our LEGO collection.
LEGOs are great math manipulatives. With the LEGO bases, students can organize blocks to show a variety of math concepts. The base securely anchors blocks, eliminating frustration over blocks being bumped or knocked over. Children even have the ability to safely put unfinished work away until later.
The bases have even helped us in practicing life skills. Collaboration and communication seem to organically occur when using the bases, especially when students are building freestyle. This is a fabulous perk! We all benefit from these skills.
Thank you for believing in us! Thank you for making our classroom better!”

Ms. Howard
Learning with LEGO
Funded Dec 29, 2023"The heart of the giver makes the gift dear and precious." Martin Luther
Thank you so much for having a heart for my students and our classroom. The two large sets of LEGO Duplos you gifted us are truly dear and precious. We love them!
While we continue to enjoy our traditional LEGOs, the Duplos have become the children's LEGO of choice. The Duplo blocks are so much easier for them to grasp and manipulate. Students are less frustrated and more independent.
Whether we're using the LEGO Duplos for math manipulatives or enjoying a creative brain break, we're always grateful for your gift. Thank you for believing in us & making our classroom better!”

Funded Jan 17, 2024The words in this note can't truly express how grateful I am for your classroom gift. These board games and dice poppers are the best!
Our new games make math fun and exciting. Students are practicing the basic skills of counting, adding, subtracting & subitizing in a unique way. They're determining place value and learning to pay close attention to detail. They're focused. They're engaged. They're thinking and processing. Best of all, they're having a great time.
My teacher heart is so happy that several children no longer view math as a boring chore they have to do. Thank you so much for helping us love learning!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Howard
Stack 'Em Up!
Funded Aug 2, 2023"Thank You" really isn't enough to express how grateful our classroom is for your generosity.
The sets of stacking rocks and stacking cups are such a gift! The children are having a great time "playing," while developing skills like problem solving, critical thinking and attention to details. These skills are helping them make great strides as mathematicians.
The rocks and cups have also been a phenomenal tool for increasing student confidence and building self esteem. The children love the challenges, as well as freestyle building. They're so proud of their efforts and accomplishments ~ they just beam! Today after completing several challenge cards, a second grader said, "I'm so proud of myself. I can do hard things." My heart melted.
You're a Difference Maker!! Thank you for believing in our classroom!”

Funded May 8, 2023Thank you so much for bringing the fun to our classroom with board games ~ we're all loving them!
My students love the challenge and competition these games provide. I especially love that they're practicing math skills while playing. These games reinforce number recognition and comprehension, counting, estimating, and addition.
Another benefit of playing board games in our classroom is social. The children are interacting with each other, and while playing, they're striving to be patient, control their emotions, and be flexible with their friends. Skills that will benefit them in life.
Thank you for making our learning fun and hands on! Your gift of games is helping us become better mathematicians and better people. They're also making us smile a lot!”

Magna-Tile Math
Funded Mar 10, 2023My students and I are so thankful for you, your generosity and your incredible gift of Magna-Tiles. Your support and confidence in our classroom makes our hearts happy!
Geometry standards are often a challenge for little ones. The Magna-Tiles have made these standards fun and engaging. The children can physically create and touch examples of what we're learning. Our math lessons become "real" and memorable.
When we have the opportunity for indoor play and fun, the Magna-Tiles are always in demand. The children love working with friends and using their imaginations ~ their ideas and projects continue to get bigger and more elaborate, and they take tremendous pride in their creations. Magna-Tiles make us all smile big.
Thank you for believing in us ~ we're so very grateful you're cheering us on!”

Math Lesson + LEGOS = Learning Fun
Funded Feb 24, 2023My students and I are so thankful for you, your generosity and the amazing gift of Legos. Your support and confidence in our classroom makes our hearts happy!
Your Legos have made our classroom stronger academically. They've made math lessons, and reviews, fun and engaging. Being able to physically touch "math" makes it real, and those hard concepts become easier to understand. We incorporate them into our lessons often & we all love it!
You've also strengthened our classroom socially with the gift of play. Those colorful little plastic pieces, bring so much joy and camaraderie. Legos bring children together who may not interact otherwise. They promote creativity and they help us relax. Everyone gets along so well when we play with them ~ they use kind words and share, and they praise and encourage each other. We're refining social skills and becoming better friends. As their teacher, it's an amazing thing to watch.
Your belief in each of us makes all of us better ~ we're grateful you've joined our journey!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Howard
