  • Valentine's Fun!

    Funded Feb 2, 2025

Thank you so much for providing these fun supplies to my students. I know they will feel loved and supported by their teacher and their school. I can’t wait to enjoy a fun day of celebration since they have been working so hard and are such awesome students.

    Thank you!”

  • Interactive Social Studies!

    Funded Nov 22, 2024

Thank you so much for donating this gift card to my students and I. I love Donor's Choose because it allows me to offer things to my students that are not built into the school budget, and this gift card is a great example of that. My students deserve fun, interactive, and modern social studies content and lessons. They have loved the lessons we have done so far. One of them included a simulation in which they got to pretend to be early European explorers surviving a voyage at sea. I see that the content from these fun lessons sticks in their brains much better than simply reading from a textbook.

Since buying content on TPT is usually something I try to forgo or spend my own money on, I truly appreciate this gift. Thank you so much for your help and support.”

    Ms. Lynch

  • School is Fun! Learning Games

    Funded Nov 22, 2024

Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom! My students were so excited when we opened the boxes of materials from this project. Every week, I offer students who have completed all their classwork "Fun Friday" time. In the past, I noticed that students often played games independently on their computer. While that is okay, I am so happy to see my students using these toys to socialize and play together.

Some of the kids in my class have never seen tangrams or building blocks. I am so excited that they like them because they will also be used during geometry lessons. These manipulatives definitely bring some excitement to math time. They also love playing bananagrams and card games together.

Thank you so much for your donations that let my students be kids and spend quality time together.”

  • Student Pantry Restock!

    Funded Oct 17, 2024

Thank you so much for providing these necessities to my classroom. The snacks in this project have lasted and my students are very appreciative. I know it helps them feel cared for and comfortable when I can offer them a snack if they are hungry. I keep the snacks in a bin in the back of the classroom and students are free to grab one at recess if they didn't pack a snack from home.

The hygiene supplies are great to offer my students as well. 5th graders can be very self conscious, so it's nice to ease their worries by offering basic hygiene items at school. Overall, all the materials in this project help my students feel like their school cares about them as people - not just students.

Thank you again for your donations!”

  • Keep Kids in School: No Germs!

    Funded Sep 5, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. We use the wipes every single day! One of my student jobs is to wipe the desks at the end of the day. We also keep the sink and counters clean in the classroom. I love knowing that I am doing as much as possible to keep my classroom germ-free.

Thank you for the hand sanitizer and tissues as well! These supplies are not supplied to us by the district, yet we blow through them! My students know to use hand sanitizer each time they return to the classroom. It's also nice to offer them a soft tissue instead of a paper towel.

The supplies in this project help my students and I stay healthy and happy! Thank you!”

  • Classroom Basics Restock!

    Funded May 11, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom and students. The supplies in this project will help us get through the last few weeks in the school year and prepare me for a whole new group of students next year! Right now, my students are focused on reviewing everything they've learned in 5th grade. In just a few weeks, they will be headed off to middle school!

The supplies in this project are helping us keep math fun and interesting as we wrap up the year. The clipboards help us stay mobile - we have been able to take our math and reading work outside to enjoy the lovely weather! We also got to do a nature walk around campus.

Thank you so much for helping my students - this year and in years to come. We appreciate you!”

  • Paper, Pencils, and Whiteboards for Math!

    Funded Feb 16, 2024

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom. The supplies included in this project are necessary for our every day math lessons. Typically, we begin by taking notes in our math composition books. This helps keeps students organized and makes it easy for them to refer back to their notes.

Then, we get out our whiteboards for practice. I love when students are working on whiteboards because it makes it very easy for me to see how they're doing. Students love it too! They have more fun when practicing math on white boards.

Thank you again for helping us restock these crucial classroom supplies.”

  • STEAM Learning With Headphones for All!

    Funded Dec 7, 2023

Thank you so much for your donation to the fifth graders at my school. This project allowed me to provide each fifth grader on campus with a pair of high-quality headphones. We use them each and every day to help students learn with technology. The headphones are great for students to use during independent work time as well as on assessments. The fact that stories can be read aloud to students through their computers truly opens the door to lots more learning.

The students were so excited to pick their headphone colors and have taken excellent care of their new headphones so far. The fifth-grade team is hoping to be able to use these headphones for years to come. Thank you so much!”

  • Hands-On Science!

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for providing science supplies to my students. Because of your donations, we have been able to do so many fun experiments during science lessons! One demonstration we did was to show students that air has weight. We created a balance scale with balloons filled with air. Then, we let the air out of balloons on one side of the scale so that students could watch the scale tip. The students' reactions were priceless and they still talk about this experiment many months later!

Another amazing thing we got to do was observe worms! Students had so much fun and learned a lot. We even got to add the worms to our school's community garden after.

Thank you for helping my students find joy during science lessons.”

Flexible seating allows students to take ownership of their learning and engage in a place that feels comfortable for them. Currently, my students are spreading out on the floor or moving to different tables to take charge of their seating. I'd like to make independent reading, one of the most important parts of our day, something to look forward to with comfortable, flexible seating. My classroom includes students with different learning needs, including students on the Autism Spectrum. A cozy classroom environment with relaxing, quiet nooks will allow these students to feel more comfortable and productive at school. The addition of a rug to my classroom will allow me to further engage students in small group lessons, partner talk, or read aloud novels. Also included in my order is a set of guided reading books for beginning readers - this reflects my classroom's wide range of needs. I have students that are emerging readers and bilinguals that need books at their level. Overall, these materials will allow my classroom to be more inclusive and comfortable for my students.
