Kindergartners learn both academically and socially in many different ways. Sensory hands-on such as water beans and kinetic sands help them to build their fine motor skills and fulfill their sensory needs at their age. Students learn both socially and academically by playing with toys and playing games together. Children at this age especially need this social interaction in their learning experiences. They learn to cooperate, discuss, and follow the rules. Books that are at their appropriate reading level are essential when it comes to building their reading fluency. Social-emotional focused picture books help them to become a better community member. In order to meet their needs as diverse learners, we are in need of different toys, games, sensory bins, and more books!
