    Writing Matters has helped my students immerse themselves in informational writing using the tools that have been generously donated through you. We have written an animal book using the journals and drawing like professional artist.

    The students were excited upon the initial opening of the box when I announced "WE HAVE A PRESENT, FROM PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN US!" The cheers on their little faces let me know that they were happy that we were thought of.

Learning how to express your ideas and thoughts allows you to have a voice daily and share it with your teacher, classmates and families. Structured activities and open minded experiences provides students with access to all level of learning. Our journals will provide our class with ways to begin their day with SEL learning, and gain access to skills necessary to flow through the day like writing effectively. Kids who are successful and happy in early grades are more likely to hold onto that confidence and motivation to keep learning.

About my class
