I am requesting comfortable saucer chairs and lamps for our counseling space. These materials will help foster a safe and nurturing space where students will feel welcome and supported as they heal and grow as young people and students living through a pandemic. Our students are tremendously resilient and strong people who work hard both in and outside of school, and having a safe and nurturing space where they can feel supported both as people and learners will be incredibly helpful for the social emotional well-being at school. Students will meet with their social worker for individual counseling sessions, as well as in group counseling sessions in this space. Students will use this space and time with their social worker to reflect, heal and grow towards their incredibly bright futures!
