A necessary part of school is assessment. I will use privacy divider folders to minimize distractions to help students focus when they are completing an assessment or other important assignments. As they are learning the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic in first grade, I place a lot of emphasis on helping the students build self-confidence. Even at age 6 and 7, these kids struggle with comparing themselves to others. With privacy dividers, they won't be as observant to whether other students are going faster than them, but instead can truly concentrate on doing their best.
