• An Accessible Classroom for All to Succeed

  Thank you so much for providing my classroom with the materials that my students need to be successful. While items such as wall clocks, timers, clipboards, and pocket charts seem like classroom basics, our school was not in a position to provide those materials without your generous support. These materials continue to be some of our most used classroom supplies! Timers, clocks, and clipboards allow students to strengthen their independence in the classroom. As a special education teacher, this is an incredibly important skill for me to help students grow in. Thank you for providing my students with high-quality resources they will be able to use throughout the entire school year to foster their independence and more deeply engage in their learning.”

• Let's Make Math Playful

  Thank you so much for your contribution to my hands-on math initiative. My school has limited access to high-quality resources, so your donation has provided my students with the tools that they need to engage in their mathematics learning in a meaningful way. We use the multi-sided dice very frequently, as it gives us a playful, hands-on approach to practicing skills such as math computation routines. Skyjo has become a classroom favorite game for building number sense, and we've been using the dominoes to practice our doubles facts. Thank you for helping create a rich, hands-on learning environment for a community that needs it the most.”

• Sharp Pencils for Even Sharper Students

  Thank you so much for your generous support in my project "Sharp Pencils for Even Sharper Students". I recently moved from out-of-state to Philadelphia so this is my first year teaching in the district. As a teacher at a low-income, under-funded school, having access to high-quality school supplies, such as the electric pencil sharpener and composition notebooks you provided, allows students to take ownership of their learning and feel connected to their school environment. I hyped up the arrival of the notebooks to my students (special education grades 3-5) and they were SO excited when they came in. Students took careful time in writing their names on their notebooks and adding different sections to them using Post It notes, which helped make them take pride in their school supplies. They were so excited to add these notebooks to their book bins! The electric pencil sharper ensures that students have access to reliable school supplies. I am excited to create a classroom environment that is a safe space for students to learn, grow, and take risks and I greatly appreciate your contribution towards that goal.”
