Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning anywhere in the classroom. During independent work, they choose an area in the classroom that works for them. Making sure fifth graders are comfortable is crucial in motivating them. After allowing my students to choose where they sit, they almost always are on-task and get more work completed. My students get more work done when given flexible seating options and when they are surrounded by beautiful and purposeful wall decor. I have seen how choice and an engaging environment can positively affect my students' work and hope that these new additions will help us grow even more!

About my class
