Walk into any classroom, and you will see students wiggling and fidgeting, all the day long. My students are no exception! Having a background in kinesiology, I have extensively researched the power of movement and exercise in the classroom. In my ideal classroom, I dream of intertwining movement and learning in a variety of purposeful ways. Flexible seating is one avenue of that dream. By providing my students with the opportunity to move and the freedom to choose places to work, I hope to instill within my students a greater sense of ownership over their learning and over our learning space.
