  • Help Create a Colorful Year in Kindergarten

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

    We have already used the color printer so much! We made a sound wall to help students learn the letter sounds. This helps them learn to read and also helps English language learners with the sounds in English. We have our focus walls for math and ELA (reading/writing) that shows vocabulary and skills we are currently working on. We have also printed the pictures and vocabulary words for our reading curriculum to help us learn new words.

    In addition, I am now chairing a new mentoring program for students who struggle with attendance for any reason and who might need additional support to get through a school day. The printer will be used to print goal sheets and labels for their folders.

  • New Year, New Building, New Grade Means New Supplies Needed!

    Funded Sep 9, 2021

    This project was funded in 2021 and somehow this letter was never sent. I could not provide my students with such enriching experiences without your support. I am thankful for your contributions to provide my students with what is needed for them to succeed each school year! This particular school year was when all students returned back to school in person and we were all masked. We used Clorox wipes to clean surfaces daily. This project contained supplies like folders and pencils but also provided cleaning supplies and masks to help everyone feel safe as we navigated the end of the pandemic. So, I am truly thankful for this.”

  • Help Us Finish the Year Strong!

    Thank you for the support in finishing the school year strong. We were able to refresh our markers and get our units of study done. The folders helped organize the students' work so they could make portfolios. The cleaning supplies were used to thoroughly clean the materials, manipulatives and storage bins to pack away the classroom for the summer. Hopefully the next school year will have a strong start too! Your support is truly appreciated. You helped make this school year a success for both the teachers and students in the room!”

  • Stocking the Shelves With Supplies

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

    Our students were so excited as the supplies started arriving. Each student had the right notebooks (color coded by subject), bags to keep their books for independent reading time and freshly sharpened pencils.

    The cleaning supplies have helped keep our desks and room clean to keep germs and critters away. We have done some special projects and after art each week we use the baby wipes to clean hands (and sometimes clothing).

    The markers helped create the anchor charts that reinforce the skills taught in class each day. The healthy snacks have kept students full and focused on their work.

Clipboards, velcro, pens, etc are used in data collection to ensure goals are being met and creating individual student schedules to keep them in routine and make our day go smoothly.
