My students like to move! As a matter of fact, they need to move. Having flexible seating in our classroom will allow them to wobble, rock, sit, or stand during our reading time and seat work times. Flexible seating is proven to be especially helpful for students with ADD and ADHD, as it is a sensory input, but it is also beneficial for all types of students because it can increases blood flow and core strength. My students will be given the opportunities they need to become independent learners through the use of flexible seating.
