  • New Year New Classroom

    Funded Aug 1, 2023

Thank you for your generosity and help making sure my classroom is prepared for this academic school year. These supplies will be used as community supplies to not only help my students but all students in need. Additionally, some of these supplies will help with learning purposes such as writing our math problems in a fun way.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Butler

  • Keeping Minds and Bodies Happy and Fed!

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. It means so much to us to know that the health and well-being of our student matter, even to people who may not know them. My students were so happy to hear that they will have more options. My coworker and I on the other hand, are extremely excited to see the change in their motivation and focus to work. Again, we thank you all so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Butler

  • Super Supplying 2nd Grade!

    Funded Jan 30, 2022

Thank you all for your generosity with making donations toward our Super Supplying 2nd Grade Project.

After receiving our supplies, the resources were used to not only create classroom community supply boxes, but also fill all students art boxes with brand new supplies. Additionally, if any student was facing a personal circumstance where it was not financially possible to buy supplies we were fortunately able to donate supplies for them to take home, thanks to the help of all donors. This project was a great donation because our supplies can and have been used in multiple areas/times of the day including during art, core lessons that allow creativity, or free time.”

  • Have a Ball This Summer!

    Funded Jun 10, 2022

Thank you is simply not enough to express how thankful we are to have such generous people like you all. Thank you for helping me be able to give my children a gift to celebrate their hard work this year. You all will be the reason they know that they deserved this!”

    With gratitude,

  • Taking "Steps" Toward Learning

    Funded Oct 27, 2021

First, we would like to thank you all for your donations and consideration. Our students came into the school building this year after being out for almost 2 years. 2 years of memories, learning and growth taken away. The project Taking Steps Towards Learning was used to receive useful resources to help with hands-on learning in math, in addition to having classroom accessories that will help with children who may benefit from sensory items such as floor decals.

When our items were received our students showed and expressed so much excitement. They were amazed by the colors, the fun decals for pathways that will be made if they need movement breaks and very happy to have their own materials to practice making a ten.

Thankfully, all donors have helped our classroom grow in ways that all educators would be so proud of. After mastering how to make a ten using the donated ten frames, our students can now make a ten without using the frames/counters. This master skill now allows them to solve addition/subtraction problems at ease. Students who need movement breaks are striving in the classroom because they have learned that the fun is wth our decals, however once we are in the classroom it is time to learn. Students who may also need a movement break have grown to learn how to follow a schedule.

As the year is coming to an end, our current goal is to push students for something simple..growth. Growth in any quantity or quality amazes us educators and that is what we are looking for as out 2nd graders are now considered future 3rd graders.

We thank all donors again for their kindness and consideration.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Butler

Our project aims to ease students back into the classroom, by giving them visual and sensory tools. Being home for so long, our special education students need additional support. Our sensory pathway is an efficient way to not only create room for fun but also help them emotionally regulate while continuing education. We have also requested dry erase math boards with magnetic counters to assist with teaching addition and subtraction. Since each student will get their own board this will maintain the guidelines of COVID-19 following social distancing and allowing for individual sterilization. Our student body is 40% special needs, the highest in the district, therefore it is important to us to accommodate them with visual and sensory tools such as these. In addition, students receiving their own supplies leads them to feel responsible for their own items causing them to have the urge to care for it more. It also makes them feel cared for and special.
