  • Sensory Wall Fun!

    Thank you for all your donations for our sensory room! It has benefited our students so much! It is a great calm down area for them to refocus and relax before returning to class to work hard!   • Developing Kindergarten Social and Emotional Development

    Thank you for all your donations! Our class absolutely love our activity centers, kitchen, and play food. When they first saw it they were so eager they crowded around us to see. They have developed their social and emotional learning by participating in pretend play and sensory activities together. They have made so much progress since our project was funded--and kindergarten thanks you from the bottom of their hearts. We love how warm and fun our classroom has become thank to all of you.

    Now that students are able to interact so well together--our next step is teaching them how to be role models.

  • Helping Kindergarten Read and Participate in Small Groups

    Students are loving our movable dry erase board! We are using it on the carpet and in small groups--and it is amazing to get them focused and having fun in their learning. It is helpful in getting students to focus and involving them in their learning.

    In addition, they love our reading nook--sitting on and around it with friends while reading different books in independent and guided reading. They love how cozy and warm it is in our classroom.

We will be investing any donations in sensory pathways for our students! The materials we chose will help students combat their distractions and introduce learning in a fun and interactive way! Students will be able to learn in new ways, using physical objects and visuals to support their learning while practicing math and reading. These fun materials will help make learning engaging and easy for all kinds of learners! We also are requesting school supplies because 85% of our students are economically disadvantaged. These supplies will help students to succeed and come to class prepared every day ready to learn confidently!

About my class
