My students seldom feel they are able to find anything that is meaningful to them. I have found that snacks and treats can be highly incentivizing to these kids. It is a great motivator for them to know that some type of extra treat is waiting for them after they have completed a necessary task. Incentives are part of what keeps our program running the way it needs to. We need to be able to offer these kids incentives that are desired. The extra treats are definitely the way to do that.
