  • Fine Motor Fun

    Funded Sep 21, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to the Fine Motor Fun project! Our students will be so excited to utilize the new supplies and activities during the sessions. While engaging in the activities, they will be improving their hand strength, dexterity and bilateral coordination skills. Your support is greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walsh

  • Getting Ready for Learning With Proprioceptive Input

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

My students have enjoyed utilizing all the new supplies. The trampoline is one of their go to activities when they arrive in the therapy room. The proprioceptive input received from jumping on the trampoline promotes sensory regulation and assists with participation for fine motor and table top tasks. The Theraputty is used prior to writing tasks to help "warm up" the small muscles in the hands. The pencil grips have been given to students that benefit from that extra physical cue to promote a functional grasp pattern on the writing instrument. This assists with decreasing hand fatigue during writing tasks. Thank you for your support on behalf of all my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Walsh
