The Awesome Third Ward Proud Lion Cub Scholars!

This was our first year with Donorschoose and we were elated that someone took time out to listen and read about the needs of our Art classroom. My scholars were eager, extremely grateful, and took great care of the donated materials. The school year went by quickly and scholars were able to utilize the mosaic tiles, boogie boards, and wire. We did conduct an Art Spring Exhibit in June. We utilized the wire to create dancing figures inspired by a famous artist by the name of Keith Haring. As you view the photos you will be able to view the the results of the wire that was used to create our versatile figures. We utilized some of the mosaic tiles to create earrings. I loved this idea and scholars were able to use their fashion senses to create unique earrings. Additionally boogie boards were utilized during our Art centers. Scholars were eager to free hand sketch or use templates to trace or encourage scholars to sketch similar drawings.For the upcoming school year scholars will definitely be exposed to the digital side of Visual Art. We definitely would love to experience and explore the world of digital Art in depth. Maybe explore which apps can be utilized to boost and encourage my scholars talented skills. Plus I would like to be well versed with the latest graphic designs, building architecture designs, fashion designs, creating digital comic strips, creating digital cartoons movements, and creating short videos or movies.
