  • Ms. Franchesca's Sensory Classroom!

    last fall was the first year back for many teachers and first time for many of my kinder students ever stepping foot into a building after the lockdowns and pandemic. the kids were scared and nervous. the supplies you got us helped transition us into a very beautiful successful school year.

    your support made an otherwise scary time, very fun, engaging, and safe. we used the toys, the chairs at first were hard and by the second week we were pros even impressing anyone who came in the room and saw us relaxed and comfortable and ready to learn. truly would've been impossible without your help.

    I and all my kids appreciated everything you gave us. my students come from a neighborhood that has bee notoriously forgotten and under funded. your generousity and compassion elevated us this year.

Flexible seating and light/sound/smell sensitive classroom tools are all necessary to promote a calm, safe learning environment. The bouncy ball chairs help my students exert energy while working, minimizing distractions and maximizing learning. The diffusers will create an aromatic environment that is conductive to calm meditative and reflective practices. The children do yoga daily to help ground them, relax them, and incorporate movement into their daily meditation. These students are from an impoverished neighborhood riddled with high crime and they deserve every resource necessary to overcome academic and emotional obstacles. Your donation makes a difference minute to minute in my room. I know the flexible seating, sensory toys as rewards and aromatherapy will help my kids reach their full potential.
